MANILA, Philippines – Chelsea Fernandez was officially named the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 representative of Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday, February 12.
Fernandez is a veteran in the local pageant scene, securing consecutive wins in numerous pageants. In 2018, she was Reyna ng Aliwan Fiesta, while in 2019, she was named Miss Philippines Earth-Water. In 2020, she was Miss Bikini Philippines.
Most notably, in 2022, she was given the title of Binibining Pilipinas Globe while representing Tacloban City, and went on to represent the country in Albania. In the global pageant, she notched a Top 15 finish, and won the Head to Head Challenge — an advocacy segment that gives the winning beauty queen an advantage during the coronation night.
Fernandez is among the growing roster of seasoned beauty queens gearing up to compete in Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
She will be competing against Siniloan, Laguna’s Yllana Marie Aduana again, after going head to head with each other in Binibining Pilipinas 2022. Aduana was Miss Earth-Air 2023, just a spot behind the pageant’s winner, Albania’s Drita Ziri.
Meanwhile, Winwyn Marquez, the first Filipina to be crowned Reina Hispanoamericana in 2017, will be representing Muntinlupa in Miss Universe Philippines 2025. The 33-year-old beauty queen was a Top 15 finalist in Binibining Pilipinas 2015.
