Rappler CEO Maria Ressa and Irish author Colum McCann hold a dialogue to mark the Jubilee of the World of Communications at the Paul VI Hall in Vatican City on Saturday, January 25.
Ressa, the first Filipino Nobel laureate, is currently at the Vatican City after Catholics welcomed the start of the Jubilee or the Catholic Holy Year. A Jubilee usually happens every 25 years, unless the Pope orders a special one to raise awareness about a specific issue or celebrate a milestone.
Within the time of the Jubilee, Catholics can be blessed with special indulgences or remission of their sins but only if they meet certain conditions or do good deeds. With the theme of hope, this Jubilee will run until January 6, 2026. – Rappler.com
