MANILA, Philippines – Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and other world leaders on Tuesday, January 21, sent congratulatory messages and issued statements in relation to the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.
In his message shared on his official X page, Marcos said: “I look forward to working closely with you and your Administration. The strong and lasting PH-US alliance will continue to uphold our shared vision of prosperity and security in the region.”

When Trump won the US presidential election in November 2024, Marcos had expressed hope the same sentiment in his congratulatory message to Trump, saying he believed that the Philippines’ “unshakeable alliance” with the US “will be a force of good that will blaze a path of prosperity and amity, in the region, and in both sides of the Pacific.”
